Premier League, Football League and WSL Suspended until 3 April
Competitions will take break because of coronavirus
The Premier League, the Football League and the Women’s Super League and Championship have suspended all matches until 3 April in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
An unprecedented development, it follows the revelation overnight that several Premier League clubs have members of staff, including players and coaches, who are displaying symptoms of the virus.
The Football Association has also announced that the two England friendlies due to be played at the end of March, against Denmark and Italy at Wembley, have been called off, saying that “refunds will be processed to all ticket buyers within 14 working days”.
The Premier League said in a statement: “The Premier League, FA, EFL and WSL have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England. Following a meeting of shareholders today, it was unanimously decided to suspend the Premier League with the intention of returning on 4 April, subject to medical advice and conditions at the time.”

It’s the right thing to do but bugger, we were on a roll. That said if it gets back underway then Rashford might be back. If it gets cancelled then Liverpool and Leeds get fecked over

Talk this morning of them handing the title to them. Not sure where that leaves every bugger else.

Handing them the title means either it all finishes as it is which simply isn’t fair and I can’t see clubs agreeing to or they get it and they don’t relegate/promote but then Liverpool get the title just because.. feck that.
Delay seems fairly feasible, most likely behind closed doors but at least the season can finish. The issue there is when can it get back underway and then the whole scheduling issues for next season.
I’d scrap it and start again. Everyone misses out on something or other but it’s the only fair way. You could start next season with teams on the points differences of this if it’s so unjust on the scousers and co.

I'm in favour of finishing the leagues in June (whatever) and postponing the Euros by 12 months. You could also scale back the domestic cups next season to help fit things in / rest and recuperation.

We have no hope of matches being played yet, boyakhitam. You'd be looking at least another month before they could consider playing out the matches behind closed doors. More than likely it will just be scrapped.
No-one here has any way of getting a covid-19 test at the moment (unless you have clear and obvious symptoms that is). I'm pretty sure I will test positive when the covid-19 antigen tests become available though. I had the exact same symptoms on January 17th, a week / 10 days, before the mainstream media started reporting the Chinese outbreak. First cases coming out of Wuhan are now reported at November 2019, the guy from South Wales confirmed he had it then and then the Chinese authorities confirmed it.
Fun times!

Hope you are all well.
I love football and do miss it but getting sick to back teeth of players, pundits, governing bodies etc. pushing for it to restart. The plans they are pushing, BCD with new venues being used, that’s not what football is about. Having to waste tests on millionaire footballers every weekend when we can’t even test frontline workers would be taking the piss.
Just pure greed from the PL, it’s disgusting.
