I watched him play for Newcastle when I was young. Erik thorstvedt , Dmitri kharine , ian walker and Tim flowers were the other keepers I was impressed with during the early 90s.

The other top sides like City and Arsenal also high in those charts, Leicester show it doesn't always have to be the way but to sustain dominance I think it's the way to go. Also our defensive stats are impressive, least goals from open play and Dave doesn't even make the top saves charts, so although he may have saved us on occasions its not a regular occurance that we are opened up or at least no more so than anyone else. Our style and setup may obviously help though on that. Our attacking stats though aren't even worth mentioning, if only we could convert our possession into something useful and we'd be onto a winner. The foundations though for a more possession orientated team are there.
