The ideal would be; Rangnick as interim sliding upstairs taking over as DoF ready for Ten Hag in the Summer - but they'll never let that happen.

Yea, well that worked well lads eh.........Sacking Ole turned out to be the disaster it was always going to be. He was in the middle of something and wasn't allowed to bring his vision to fruition. For this season we would have recovered from the downturn and secured a top 4 spot prior to further squad changes. Now we are like a school boy team in comparison.

You're rewriting history there. Ole was already done. He'd lost the players - who he'd bent over backwards for and given preferential treatment to (and still stabbed him in the back), he was clean out of ideas and reached his ceiling limit as a premier league manager (it was painful to watch).
It was time to go and if they'd have done it when they should of done it, after the scouse game, and put Rangnick in charge. told the players he was permanent, and backed him with a cdm and the players he wanted, we wouldn't be having this conversation
But we are run by utter clueless cunts

That problem lies with the players! they are paid hundreds of thousands a week to do their best for the club and the fans who fund their ludicrous earnings. Some forget the extent of the shit show Ole walked into. Why should they have been told Rangnick was permanent, are you suggesting that would have instilled a fear in them? So why did they not fear this guy who was running the dressing room was going to be upstairs next season making big decisions in regards to their future's? And some of the team selections and tactics we have witnessed form Rangnick has been ridiculous. (painful to watch indeed) Ole's tenure should have seen him introducing some of our young guns like Elenga, Hannibal, Hoogewerf, Laird, Mengi and Garnacho into the squad and backed up with some solid signings. That should have been the rebuild strategy (probably still is) but he was denied that.

Ole lost the players lol..... what manager didn't lose the players post 2013? You miss the point. Once lost it's over for any manager, you can go no further. That problem lies with the players! they are paid hundreds of thousands a week to do their best for the club and the fans who fund their ludicrous earnings. Some forget the extent of the shit show Ole walked into. Amen, which is why you need shrewd recruitment by people who know what they're doing. We might actually be turning a corner, we'll see.. Why should they have been told Rangnick was permanent, are you suggesting that would have instilled a fear in them? So why did they not fear this guy who was running the dressing room was going to be upstairs next season making big decisions in regards to their future's? No I'm saying it makes you think twice about being a self centred prick if you think someone is there for the longer term (and can potentially do you damage) As opposed to some dude there for a few months with no power, no leverage, no tools - to players who've already downed tools and thrown a manager under the bus and don't want to run, or work, or follow instruction. A smart board would have blagged it and never even announced their plans and kept everything to the minimum. They already knew 5/6 were out the door anyway. They shit it and never had a plan B outside of Ole. Fucking amateurs. And some of the team selections and tactics we have witnessed form Rangnick has been ridiculous. (painful to watch indeed) See above Ole's tenure should have seen him introducing some of our young guns like Elenga, Hannibal, Hoogewerf, Laird, Mengi and Garnacho into the squad and backed up with some solid signings. That should have been the rebuild strategy (probably still is) but he was denied that. This is sentiment, the players, players heads, had already gone. It's called flogging a dead horse. Sad and pitiful as it is.
