www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/war-veteran-suffering-post-traumatic-6395169This is the type of story that these anti-refugees groups and people use to show their outrage. I feel for the guy, and he definitely should be given a house...when it's his turn. The difference here is that refugees need it, he wants it. If anything, being in Afghanistan should have made him more empathetic towards people fleeing a warzone.

Exactly, I'm sorry but being in the army doesn't and shouldn't give people a god given right to get things they want. There's a reason he isn't getting a house, he's not in a desperate situation with nowhere to live, clearly.

Don't get me started on the notion we're all supposed to respect people in the forces because they're in the forces. I respect someone because they're a good person whether they're in the army or they work in a warehouse. Being in the forces alone doesn't mean jack shit to me, it's a job.
Speaking from personal experience of people I know who have been in the forces, they've all been cunts, including a guy who beat his girlfriend to death. But I have to respect him because it wasn't his fault as he 'saw things' in the army. Bullshit!
Don't get me wrong, there are some truly heroic people in the forces who do incredible things and are completely inspiring but they're not all automatically like that.

Same here, don't know what is it about the US and the UK that you put so much emphasis on your soldiers and there's this social pressure to respect all of them, no matter what. You should see the way Russians are treating theirs, feeding them with dog food filled with larvas  including a guy who beat his girlfriend to death How?

After all the things I've read in the past couple of days, these are pretty mild. Unfriended a bunch of people from facebook because all I could see are some horrible hate speeches and warning that "Muslims are taking over Europe!!" Even more sad that the Syrians are probably more educated than the people saying these things.

That video is old news (about 3 years) and is just 5 minutes of a whole 1 hour long documentary she did which also investigated white extremism. She found both were just as prevalent as each other. This particular group of Muslims are basically not acknowledged by the majority of normal every day Muslims, people are completely embarrassed by them and these guys even interrupt other, peaceful rallies by other Muslims.
People push that video out every once in a while to build up race hate and hostility towards Muslims.
