I don't have anything against it of course, I'm just wondering why Louie would buy another one, knowing his fetish for LCB-RCB..... thing? One of the Rojo/Shaw would move to the bench if he comes I think, both just arrived. Who knows at the end, lets wait and see, but I always thought he'll join his countryman in Real eventually. |

 Balague seems to think we want a left footer, I don't know maybe he wants to stick with the back three which would mean Rojo moving central like he did against QPR. A lot of money to pay though, is a youngster the right way to go as well, not convinced but we shall see.

The way I see it you've got to think are these guys better than what we already have and are they that much better that they'll noticeably improve our starting 11. I personally think he's massively talented and is already better than Jones, Smalling and Evans and at least on a par with Rojo and is only going to get better. Certainly wouldn't be disappointed if we moved for him. Top quality central defensive options are very scarce right now as well and after Varane this guy is up there as one of the most talented young central defenders in world football.
The only reservation I'd have is that he's another left footer, which to me means if we signed him we'd almost certainly be sticking with a 3-5-2 (although I'm still not all that convinced that the formation is a major issue for us, more the personnel fitting into the formation). Either that or he'll be deploying 1 of them at left back more often which means we see less of Shaw.
As you guys say, just have to wait and see. Although I still think we'll not bring anyone else in, in this window.

Only couple of days left. If we don't strengthen now in some key areas (at least at the back) or in the other case raise our performances drastically, brace yourselves and get ready for a bumpy ride till the end of season. If we miss out on CL this year, I can see van Gaal getting sacked no matter what.
