Ok so here you go... 1. You go to the tweet you wanna embed and you click to expand it 2. Click on Details.It will open it in a new window 3. Copy the number part at the end of the link in the bar 4. Use twitter id="(number)" in square brackets [] and voila embed-tweet.proboards.com/thread/2/embed-tweet |

Worked like this:
1. Click on "view summary" of the tweet or just click on the tweet
2. Copy the URL of the tweet
3. Paste it in </> (insert embed button) next to emoticon button in second empty field under that button
4. Click embed
The only way for me but thanks, saves me a lot of nerves used for capturing images and posting it on another site every time before posting it on here.

How comes the privacy wall is still up ? It's potentially costing the site new member blood, people don't like joining what they can't see, they need a 'hook'.
Fuck the trolls, you've got the post quarantine up and working, it's enough to catch them and start IP banning?

The post quarantine isn't enough, and we have a particular troll that uses a proxy every time he tries to join in, I ban the ip and he moves to the next one. The only thing the open forum does is to get us more lurkers, by joining at least I can track their ip/email.
Plus, we're getting an average of 3 new members that way now so it's alright.

ah, a genuine asshole troll, eh. I'm sure there is php code that cuts proxy site access, I know there is on hostgator, you literally just copy and paste the code into the php admin section. Seems a shame to shutter the place because of one dick.

Seems a shame to shutter the place because of one dick. Unfortunately, this platform doesn't provide the option to restrict members using a proxy, plus it won't be fair if any of our regular members want to use one. The only options we have to choose from is "limited registration" - where members have to be approved manually (which we tried but it might discourage new members if they have to wait 12 hours for approval), the "post quarantine" that we're using now and the "login". We tried without the login before and it was a huge mess. |

Yeah I was reading a Proboards forum response on the subject of proxy trolls and it just sounded like too much effort for them to do anything officially. They claim there are enough inbuilt controls to satisfy the vast majority of situations, like disable Guest posting, use Limited Registration, etc. I know stopforumspam.com/ was mentioned by a few. |

Where do we post threads about formations and tactics for example, involving players from potential transfers to United and general chat about their fitting to given system and philosophy and similar malarkey etc?

If it's regarding a potential transfer then I'd think the best place would be in the transfer section. But if you wanna open one for team tactics alone then go ahead
