Don't know if this has been posted.
Hello everyone,
Sadly I need to let you guys know that this forum has closed. This is a PERMANENT decision.
According to the hosting company the website crashed because it ran out of space while backing up the files. We had a back up to restore it to an earlier date so I thought we could fix it. I bought more storage to make sure we would not run out of space again, but the stupid employee did not do the upgrade I paid for and when the daily back up happened it did not go though due to lack of space. The problem is that according to support the incomplete back up replaced the older back up, leaving us without a back up. There was a back up from about a year ago that I had in my old computer, I can’t find it now, the issue is that even if I had i it would take a long time to restore everything. I simply do not have the time and energy to do all this. This week I spent like 40 hours with this and it’s taking my health away. Every week something new happens and this is becoming a part time job more than a hobby.
I want to thank everyone for the loyalty, and especially to the mods for all the work done but i deserve a break from this. I apologize if i let people down but the forum has reached its end. Thanks everyone and good luck.
Webmaster

Don't you stick your tongue out at me young lady. I'm not slow. It's just where I'm from we're an hour behind most of Europe so it takes me a while to catch up. Once the clocks go back I'll be fine.

Regarding the exceeded speed issue, support pretty much said "you're typing too fast"

hmmm 5 seconds (which sadly is probably accurate) is a long time in a soccer match especially whilst chatting. A lot can happen.
It's pretty much like how a chat during the game goes in the pub. For the 2 hours it's all about literally everything thing that happens on the pitch. Literally everything
this
Take our first goal on Saturday. From the moment the ball leaves Ashley Young's foot, that's a cross, a collision involving Schezny, a shot from Valencia and then ultimately end in Gibbs putting through his own net.
And that all happens in round 5 seconds.
Quite a step down from the older place.
That kind of timing would make me think it's almost quicker to post in the match day thread than using shoutbox.
Certainly doesn't match the hype there was when I was first told here about the chatroom/shoutbox

By all means, if you have $3500 to spare I'd be happy to switch us to a better domain with a proper software and chatroom.

Just do away with it if it's as quick to post on a thread. Defeats it's purpose really

Even if the shoutbox doesn't allow us to post as frequent as we wish, it still remains better than the forum because using the old fashion posting method means we would have to keep reloading the page to see new posts.

It's pretty much standard on most other forums that you have to refresh anyway
Refreshing for me anyway is easier to deal with than having a message constantly popping up if you dont time it right and having to retype your intended message.

It's not but the internet is supposed to satisfy our laziness. That is the point of the internet
