Shoddy for first 10-15, lucky to not go behind after calamity Stones being a wally.

Lingard’s pressure forced the goal and since then we’ve been very good, much more direct and progressive than the other night. The back three don’t look great but when John Stones is the most experienced CB then you are going to have issues.

Eh.. after a good end to the first half we were meh in the second, struggled to break down Italy and created nothing of note. Went to complete shit after the Messe sub and I’m not sure about that pen but at least the VAR was smoother than usual.

Lingard and Young were good.
