Not a banana skin tie... if we play anything like we did against Chelsea

Big IF! What we learned from this season is after a good performance there comes a bad one. (too often but hopefully not this time!)
Need to progress too badly!

You just don't know what you're going to get with this side, the inconsistency is, has been, the killer, if we manage a solid 80% performance of the Chelsea match and we score then we'll win. Confidence should be sky high so here's hoping.
If we brain fart and revert then you've got a potential disaster on our hands. 1-1 puts us into extra time

With a view to the remaining games, its clear our route via the EL is easier on the paper than through the league.
United:
Burnley (a) Manchester City (a) Swansea (h) Arsenal (a) Tottenham (a) Southampton (a) Crystal Palace (h)
Liverpool:
Crystal Palace (h) Watford (a) Southampton (h) West Ham (a) Middlesbrough (h)
Shitty:
Manchester United (h) Middlesbrough (a) Crystal Palace (h) Leicester City (h) West Brom (h) Watford (a)
Arsenal:
Leicester (h) Tottenham (a) Manchester United (h) Stoke (a) Southampton (a) Sunderland (h) Everton (h)

Let's get to the next round first.
De Gea Valencia - Bailly - Rojo - Shaw Carrick Herrera - Pogba Micky - Ibra - Martial
After the Chelsea win the confidence should be high and the attack relatively fresh. Must win.

Mourinho says Romero will start, Roo possibly will make the bench and some talk of Martial needs to give him what he wants i.e. track back.

I'd rather not take chances with Rooney - this game is too important to put on someone who hasn't played in ages. I wouldn't mind him as a sub later on when we're 3-0 or something I don't see how we can screw this up, Anderlecht were pretty poor there and got lucky with the goal. I'd love to see Rashford start as well

Based on the first game, if we play half as well as against Chelsea its a " shoe in ". Go boys play free and strong.

that was rubbish.
Despite winning it was no where near good enough. Ibra didn't do much of anything before he went off (which is bad) and Fellaini was our saviour in this game. Maraoune Fellaini (what is with his recent form, its weird). Rashford despite the goal i thought was pretty sloppy up front, wasted too many chances, he needs to be more clinical.
We won't beat Ajax, Lyon or even Celta if we come up with that shit again over two legs. This was Anderlecht, a Belgian side, the strongest side, but a Belgian side nevertheless. If we're serious about the Europa League (which we should as its our only chance of silverware this season and realistically could be our only chance of Champions league given our schedule) then we need to be so much better than this.
Nevermind our attack, our back line still needs work.

We looked leggy after the initial start, and Zlatan looked his age, things are slowly catching up with us. Zlatan and Rojo losses will be significant set backs for us if they're serious injuries. It didn't look good for Zlatan though.
We made life difficult for ourselves and we don't learn lessons very well at all, and I include Mourinho in that. Still, we're through.
