After a nice little international break its back to the day job for the lads with a tricky encounter in store. Arsenal looking fairly good at the minute but Jose does have a good record against Wenger. De Gea Darmian - Jones - Blind - Shaw Carrick Herrera - Pogba Mata - Rashford - Martial
Not sure where we are on the injury front, the back four is going to be fairly make shift regardless.

Another game I’m not going to get seeing. Goddam early ko’s. I’ll have a peak in here if I can
But who knows what the general mood in our camp is going to be for this one. Hasn’t been a happy one with whats been said and done lately.
As for the game, well with all kinds of shit going on, injuries and suspension there isn’t a lot of room left for choices anyway. Rashford up top for sure. A lot of pressure on his shoulders but well able to deal with it.
If Arsenal get going (or we let them) then we’re fucked because we’ve not got the attacking unit to compete with them as of yet. Play it safe, get amongst them and completely disrupt their usual game and hope to nick something on the break or set play. You’d have to suspect Jose will even under normal circumstances.
Although our defence is severely weakened now I don’t think it would make a jot of difference. It would still be the same (just don’t concede after 30 seconds whatever we do anyway)
Last thing Mourinho is going to want is Wenger coming to OT and beating him, it’s as much as him v Wenger as it is United v Arsenal. Honestly think this could turn out to be a drab 0-0 maybe 1-1. Normally I’d be all over United for this but not expecting many goals. Defeat could be as damaging to the manager just as the team.
In a nutshell, an open game I wouldn't be hopeful of us getting a result at all, tighter game thus Arsenal not coping with a bit of luck might swing it in our favour.

Will be at OT for this one flying up tonight ................................. so I am fully expecting us to win My last two visits gave 4 goals for the reds I don't want to be greedy................. so 2-1 would be just fine

Let's hope you manage to get there in time !
Tight game I feel, weather is crisp and cold but nice, should be a slick surface with the amount of liquid forms we've had recently. Gut says draw but here's hoping to nicking a win.
Edwood says: 10 - 1

Absolutely gutted. Showed Arsenil just how average they are then got hit by a sucker punch right at the end. Couldn't fault our team today. Herrera and Mata were immense once again. The only Dissapointment for me was Martial who once again looked way off the pace. If he showed heart then he could be forgiven but even that looks lacking. That left wing looks like a poisoned chalice. Tactics spot on today. Team selection as well. It will come good. Maybe not this season but I still believe Mou is the right man for the job. Biggest knob of the day once again goes to Jamie Rednapp for slaughtering Rashford for the Arsenil goal. Wonder how he'd feel after 88 minutes after giving everything, he came up against a flying winger. Then again Rednapp wouldn't of been on the pitch after 88 minutes because he had the stamina of a fecking sloth.

It was Burnley and Stoke all over again, very good performance but a not so good result. Even more infuriating this time round against one of our rivals and a good side in Arsenal who we didn't give a sniff too apart from that one moment.
When the decisions aren't going your way you have to take it into your own hands, Arsenal were there for the taking and we didn't put enough pressure on them. Shutting up shop far too early seems to be a reoccurrence when we should be killing teams off and Mourinho's negative subs don't help just invites the opposition onto us.
We gave the Gooners a get out of jail free card today.

I thought the second half we pommeled them. We had wave after wave of attack until we scored in the 70th minute. We took our foot off the gas maybe for about 5 minutes after we scored but Arsenil didn't look dangerous and then we took it to them again. I don't think we sat back and the only thing missing once again was definition in attack. Rooney for Martial I don't think is negative tactics. Blind for Darmian made sense since he was on a yellow and facing the Ox. Maybe bringing on schneiderlin for Mata could be seen as negative but with 5 minutes to go it should of been enough to see the game out. Our bad luck will change, I've no doubt. Today's bad luck was having an exhausted Rashford up against a fresh Ox who produced a fantastic ball for Giroud who timed everything to perfection. The sort of move if you tried it on the training ground would probably come off once in every 10. Unlucky for us that that one in ten happened to be their only chance all game.

I meant after the first goal, we didn't create too many clear cut chances and didn't work Cech enough. Arsenal weren't at it all and we should have punished that, the players should have smelt blood but it was more in jabs in stomach than slicing their throat.
As for the subs I wasn't just talking about today but the main one is Schneiderlin/Fellaini coming on to see out the game and taking our best attacker off. If it goes tits up like today what then... the Schneiderlin sub was a weird one, Arsenal weren't getting any joy through the middle and they'd brought Ox and Giroud on so surely Lingard/Young for Rashford would have made more sense.
It will click eventually but in the meantime we need the results.

What keeps me going is knowing that if we had Kun we'd be top of the league Let's face it. For all our good play we don't have a clinical enough forward to put teams to bed. Today was just another case of that. Rooneys touch in front of goal has deserted him, Ibra after a good enough start is now finding it tougher going, Rashford is still learning and Martial is bang out of form. All I can say is thank fook we have Mata. This is why I think we have to give Mou more time to bring in someone who will consistently knock goals in but until then I fear we will be seeing more of the same until this happens.
