Not too much to complain about, obviously we all enjoyed the first half while the second was kinda dull. If we kept the intensity we could have easily put 6+ past these, but 4-1 would do just fine. And if we're going to concede, the goals better be like this one.

Brilliant first half, not only the goals but the link up play, chances created, movement, pressing etc. much better from us. Defensively looked a little shaky but once we got the first goal our chests were out and we pushed them back.
4-0 up form the first half so can't complain, second half we eased off a touch and they had a 10 minute spell but that's to be expected. Controlled the second, a bit dull from a spectators view but professionally seeing the game out was what was needed.
Great win, lots of positives and great performances to build on.

Todays performance was a great improvement from the last 3. Obviously we can't reach conclusions after 1 game but not having Rooney running about all over the pitch for me had a lot to do with it. Every one knew their position without him confusing his team mates by popping up all over the pitch. Fantastic first half with Mata running the show. Faded in the second but the job was already done. Thought Blind was great as well. The speed of Rashford and Lingard were causing Leicester all sorts of problems. Pogba looked like he was enjoying himself and even Ibra worked hard. Herrera did a decent job but I'd still prefer Schneiderlin or Carrick there. We actually looked better with Bailly and Blind playing together but the more Smalling and Bailly play together the better they'll get. Great way to kick off the weekend. Now the big question is does Rooney come in for the next game? I certainly hope not.

Perfect game for him, run out, get some confidence and momentum. Kick up the arse and the heat is on.

Nervy start and hardly convincing in the first 15 ..... We really need to start matches better especially at home Thankfully Leicester didn't grab a goal when our midfield seemed disorganised and we were sloppy on the ball .... It seemed far from plain sailing an all too familiar feeling.
..... Then Captain Mike comes up with the goal and we never looked back in that first half.
Blind did an outstanding job at left back Shaw might have to fight to get back in Kudos to Mata as well and glad to see Jesse get a game after the derby calamity will build his confidence.
4 goal scorers, great team performance with Roo / Fellaini "rested" lol we are a different team Rashford is just sensational - fresh, 18 years old and totally enjoying his football long may it last.
Second half yes well we controlled the result ....that match was killed in the first 45.......... The positive is we had the luxury to do that ... A bit less intense for the fans but the MATCH WAS KILLED .... Can't remember the last time we did that nor when we were last leading 4:0.
Pleased with this result, admittedly Leicester looking more like a mid table side than the reigning champions ....logic returns. Lots to tweak and improvements to be made - far from perfect but definitely tons better and something to build on 3 points but harder tests ahead for sure

Agree with pretty much everything that's been said above. I would like to point out this: Rashford and Lingard were causing Leicester all sorts of problems. Like him or not, Lingard has showed so far a certain level of consistency in his games and I think we'll see a lot more of him as the season progresses. He's not the most skilled player or the fastest but does the job. Also about time for the dab  But most of all, that midfield of Pogba and Herrera absolutely bossed it yesterday

Probably already been said on here but MATA may keep Rooney on the bench for a while. Jose as certainly got them playing and thinking like United of old.

No Rooney coming too deep getting in the way and pushing everyone back too deep along with him which kept us pressing forward in a higher line...no Fellaini just being in the way in general giving Pogba his attacking role without having to cover Fellaini all day and we see the results .....

Good first half after a shaky start, despite Leicester making it easy for us. Would have wished we had pushed for 5th in the 2nd but did not more than necessary. All in all nothing to get carried away, scoring 3 goals from set-pieces probably won't happen on a regular basis.
- Herrera was a positive, his energy and running was important as well as him initiating attacks quickly - good to see we can gain advantge from set-pices which wasn't the case for a while - Pogba scoring his first (and playing well again) will silence the ciritcs from outside the club a bit. He hasn't had a bad game so far but still got stick. - most importantly we were agressic and did press the opponent. I don't know how on earth we didn't do that for 3 games which cost us heavily! Please keep that effort up!
