Central Coast Mariners 2-1 Adelaide United
Adelaide, one week thrashing newcastle 7-0, next week losing to bloody central coast, i seriously do not understand this
Crowd: 4508 (they where trying to make members pay to go to this, on top of their membership, so yeah the members where none too happy about that, regardless poor showing but you kind of get it, charlesworth is just a shit owner who needs to sell up in all honesty, if you're looking to make a profit off a sporting franchise the a-league isn't it, this is a long term investment with plenty of losses in the short term future)
Sydney FC 2-1 Perth Glory
absolute horrid showing from ref Kris Griffith-Jones. amazed a player didn't knock him out (he deserved at least that much) performance should definitely be under review for just being that shit
Crowd: 11 667 (their crowds are building up nicely, they should aim for 11k members next season)
Melbourne Victory 3-0 Melbourne City
As expected, Victory are the in form team in the competition at the moment, 2nd in the league and winning games. City on the other hand are not really in any sort of form. They need to be careful also cause they now sit just one point ahead of the roar in 6th. they could easily fall out of the 6 by next week.
Crowd: 40 042 (full house at the derby at docklands, good to see, even if it is a horrid stadium for football)

would be a good move for him. JDT should look at him in all honesty, he ain't fernando torres or mario gomez but he will get goals for them and plenty of them. i think players who have been released from the a-league, and aren't looking to get back in and are over the age of 25 lets say, should look for a move to malaysia like smeltz. a professional league, whilst not the j-league, k-league, CSL or a-league standard (yet, it will get there surely just due to the sheer popularity of football in malaysia)
players who should make a move to the Malaysian Super League from the A-League (my opinion at least):
Kew Jaliens (former dutch international, quiet a good player but given the story at the jets i don't think he would want another a-league gig, also with foreign spots it becomes a bit hard, especially with teams going after higher end foreign players) Jeronimo Neuman (though he could get a role in the a-league, it would be a lot harder for him with his injuries though, he's quality though) David Carney (he needs to get out of aus, after the 2011 asian cup final he's a poisoned chalice for anyone in aus to take him really) Pedj Bojic (would be a beast RB/RW given his pace, unfortunately not the most technical player) Nick Ward (won't get another a-league gig most likely, but good player and would pay better than state league football) Justin Pasfield (decent enough keeper in all honesty, would be a very good keeper in the super league) Cassio (i have not a clue why but he doesn't get a gig in the a-league, good left back for sure though) Patrick Gerdhart (decent CB, worthy pickup)

Honestly, I am not impressed with all the imports from Australia lately. As mentioned in the article, we had brilliant imports from aussie land before like saad , Olenrenshaw , davidson , edwards .. etc.. I can go on and on but the few imports we had in the last few seasons were really bad. Players from Africa and South America are the ones that are shining.
JDT really need a striker. 2 of their main strikers are out with injury and they sold another striker before the season started. desperately in need of a striker imo.
in other news, El hadji Diouf scored on his debut for Sabah.

Anelka is looking for a club nowadays but seriously Smeltz is the top scorer in a-league history (though i think berisha may have overtaken him) oh and considering the imports are limited to jon mckain (hasn't been himself since he left adelaide) and Robbie Corthwaite (good ol' cornflakes, thank god holger ain't the manager or he would have been in the world cup squad) i ain't surprised. anyway JDT could use Smeltz from the sound of it. even if it is just a short term deal, i think he would be a beast, he has an eye for goal i would imagine the south americans and africans would be more impressive though. but some of these aussies that are out of contract are pretty good in all honesty and would be worth a look at least. glad to see el hadji diouf still has it, hopefully he behaves himself off the field though anyway the roar are moving all their asian champions league games to the gold coast....... these dumb fucks never learn do they, fair enough suncorp was unavailable (i would like to have 5 minutes alone with the curator of suncorp, he would leave black and blue, can't prepare a pitch, we pay exuberant fees and have to deal with random concerts in the middle of the season) surely this was the chance to use ballymore, QE2 Stadium in the southside or just use Perry Park (its a midweek ACL game, who the hell is going to go watch a game on the coast midweek, people have work, uni and school, it will take 90 minutes from the city to robina by train each way) its clear now, Dobson has to go as does Ken Stead. and if things don't shape up i think the owners may have to also. The team deserves owners who will invest (we need our own botique stadium) i mean look what these guys have done with inter, inter are a huge club but because of the cheapness they are sitting 11th in serie a right now. its ridiculous

Let's see which club in malaysia he's been linked with.
I doubt it will be JDT. their imports are already settled. Kelantan as well... So is Pahang. The only team I can think of at the moment is sleeping Giants, Selangor.

Mehmet used to play for selangor before. yeah the team victory and yeah he did in the 90's i do believe anyway Mitch Duke, it looks like he's off to Shizmu S-Pulse. (Moss is a shit manager, plain and simple, so the further away from the mess that is the mariners the better)

9 days too late but
so you're telling me this had nothing to do with the fact that they got eliminated at the quarter finals by the UAE of all teams (thats terrible, especially for them)
Japan has been linked to Michael Laudrup, Michel (former Real Madrid player)
what is looking certain is that the manager will be foreign. thats what the JFA have indicated they want to happen (they always have looked at foreign managers, just for them to choose a good one this time) Laudrup i think would be good, a spanish manager who has some experience with the j-league and/or can speak japanese i think would be ideal though. given the type of players and the style of play, they will suit that sort of style the best

Central Coast Mariners 0-2 Brisbane Roar
good win, 2 pens (i thought they where clear cut, others not so much) and we're into the 6. Frans is still a shit manager who doesn't understand or doesn't know the purpose of substitutions and has resulted in solorzano going off injured. this better be it for him after this season, can't believe we fired mulvey for him, really.
Crowd: 6021 (shit crowd, last week i gave them a pass because of bullshit, this week is just pathetic)

Wellington Phoenix 0-0 Melbourne City
pretty poor showing from both, each team had a ton of chances, only 1 each on target. awful display from both and they will need to improve going into the finals. There where 8 yellow cards in this game. 6 from Melbourne City alone.
Crowd:
Sydney FC 3-3 Melbourne Victory
Strebbers you fucked up. bad display of officiating from him again today, players where at each other, Seb Ryall is still a cunt and muscat again looked ready to break someone's knees, just a typical big blue derby
Crowd: 16 738 (god awful crowd for the big blue, i think every a-league crowd in 2015 has been down a lot)
