Sorry to differ and be a pain in the backside but where is the rule regarding AET posted ? As we are using the Kicktipp service should not there result and interpretation stand ? In the final analysis Portugal and Germany won the game !!!Poland and Italy have gone home because they lost !!!
From Kicktipp Rules : Tipping mode
Tipping on the exact result.
The result "after extra time" will be applied.
Exact result is Portugal and Germany Won.
Extra Time includes the Time taken for Penalties - else everyone might as well go home .... " Result " is paramount !
Consider : If none of the QF Games went to Extra Time there would therefor have been no result in any of the games as the scores would have been as at Normal Time or Full Time so no AET score could be predicted or shown !

Penalties aren't part of extra time. By definition : Extra Time is the time taken or allocated to complete a task. In the case in question, to arrive at a result as to which team wins and advances or which team goes home and sacks its manager ( Football ). We are predicting the score lines of the matches, which penalties do not effect and once again they are not part of Extra Time. |

From the first entry of this thread I have copied the following: -
The usual scoring system applies:
Correct result 2 points
Correct goal difference 3 points NB: 3 points are not available for a draw
Exact score 5 points
So we are not I respectfully point out attempting to " Predict the score lines ".
Also by and I quote " :lol: I'd take this up with Kicktipp. " do you mean that you will take it up with Kicktipp or are you saying I must take it up ?

I have just now posted my predictions for the Semi Finals and again the ludicrous AET appears. I say ludicrous because if we are not interested in who wins why are we bothering ?
If it said " AETIR " After Extra Time If Required it would be more correct but still a farce as the whole point of the competition, is who wins the tournament and you can only do that by proceeding to the Final by winning your various matches and Winning that encounter !
Time is of the essence.

I'm saying you should email them and complain since you are the one who finds this a problem.
I don't know who has the control over penalties be it Kicktipp or Rach, as it stands the game doesn't take penalty shootouts into account. Points are applied before penalties.

Sorry Dave - Now I am confused as initially pointed out that Kicktipp listed the result of the Poland v Portugal game as 1 - 2 ( my prediction ) similarly Germany v Italy was listed as 2 - 1 ( my prediction ). More confusing is that I do not understand the relationship between manutdforum/kicktipp/Rach ? Also applies the points ? I am a little hurt by your comment that it is only me who sees this as a problem. Maybe I am the first to notice the " problem ", maybe I am the only one sufficiently interested in the game, possibly I am the only player with a vested interest in having the correct result reflected.  |

Your predictions were wrong as both matches ended in a draw.
i.e. 1-1 (90mins) results in going to Extra Time the result is then 1-1 (120mins) AET
If you predicted 1-1 you get 5 points, if you predicted 0-0 for example you get 2 points.
As Kicktipp state the Exact Score is 1-1, the Correct Result is a Draw. Once Extra Time finishes the prediction game ends.
Portugal/Germany winning the penalty shootout doesn't change the score/result of the match(90/120).
It's still 1-1, still a Draw.

So who wins or loses does not matter !
In his last race Usain Bolt was behind another runner at halfway mark but Usain WON the race ! anyone remember the other guy ?
Bloody fed up with all of this. Sorry I bothered to accept the invite and join the game, but I will continue to play the game until its completion when nobody actually won !

Look at Portugal they have yet to win a match and drew against Poland Any way Jamie is in the lead but only just Jie and Kaushik hot on his heels  Bonus outlookIceland have leaked the most goals (9 goals against) but only after their 2-5 result against France - previously it was Hungary on 8. Stadium with the most goals - outllook so far St Denis 16 goals scored Final still to come Lyon 14 goals scored Semi Wales vs Portugal will play tonight Good luck for the final three games |

You have read what I hope you see as my logical questions and responses. I could go on but now find myself between a Rock and a Hard Place. I hold you in the Greatest Respect, you work very hard to make this forum a place that I want to be part of and that means a lot to me in my advanced years. As this game progressed I thought I had an outside chance of doing well, maybe even winning it which would be a first for me. I therefor have decided to " throw myself on my sword " and " Let It Be " ( got that from The Beatles ). Who knows " it aint over until it's over " . As you might have gathered I am great on cliche's.
Really looking forward to the new seasons Premier League game which I sincerely hope you will organise. I am going to put United down every game for a win but please keep this to yourself, I don't want the others to find out my cunning plan !!!
