First thing's first. Mata you are a cunt. How fucking unprofessional to get yourself 2 of the softest fucking yellows in relatively close succession. Not saying that cost us getting anything today but it sure as hell made things difficult. Supposed to be one of the more experienced players here and he acted like the least experienced.
Before the goal I actually think we defended brilliantly and in the 2nd half looked the most likely to score, admittedly out of 2 pretty unlikely teams. After the goal it was just the same old lack of character and spirit that we've seen from us most of the season, especially when we're behind.
Which is also the manager's biggest fault. Couldn't fault his selection. He's got his hands pretty much tied at the minute and we needed to rotate a little, it was as strong a side he could've put out at the moment. But the lack of ideas when we went behind comes from him. Culminating in him bringing on a defender as our final change when you've got Fellaini on the bench, then we of course proceeded to lump the ball forward to the huge 3 of Memphis, Lingard and Martial. He looks like a genius when things are going well for us and rightly so but time and time again he has proved that when things go against us he doesn't have what is needed to change it up and get something.
Very, very disappointing.

Be interesting to see what he says about hair-bear. It's a dumb cunt of a game to lose

Mata stupid.
A Pulis side is hard enough to break down with 11 never mind 10 so it made life difficult for us going forward, we did well though with 10 men and defended well up until the the goal. Dissapointed with the reaction to a goal down, Carrick was slow in making passes forward and dawdling on the ball when we were with 11 as well, Martial was half arsed and Rashford found it difficult, we didn't get the ball forward quickly enough and didn't use the wide areas enough for me.
It's a lot to ask for young players but the experienced heads should be guiding them and not for the first time they've let us down this season.
Bounce back on Thursday.

Man Utd should forget about top and concentrate Europa league final.

No game was ever so perfect for Fellaini to be brought on if only to get in the mix with their defenders. How are we so good against the bigger sides and can't seem to break down the sides that don't play football time and time again and again?

We are absolutely appealing against all bottom half teams. Out 16 we have drawn 5 and lost 6. It's as if the players think all they need to do is turn up and win. It's like we are turning into a softer version of arsenal or city

It would be a luck for the top four

Out 16 we have drawn 5 and lost 6. It's as if the players think all they need to do is turn up and win. Collectively those players players are not robust and competitive enough and don't like it up 'em. That's the issue in a nut shell. No Keane, no Scholes who both bossed the show first and foremost. Those two were not just the footballing metronome on which the side hinged but the physical and competitive base on which everything stood. That's our single biggest issue. Schneiderlin and Herrera are a start, how do they match up to Keane and Scholes? And there you have your answer. That needs to be addressed before we move forward.

PS. It's the only reason I'm still contemplating Mourinho as an option. I think he would nail that.

Still absolutely gutted about the loss, just when you think we're on the rise and we serve up a game like this. With 9 games to go, and not easy ones, I just don't see it happening. I still don't understand when we have Carrick and Schneiderlin on the pitch we don't let Carrick sit deep and Schneiderlin push forward. West Brom completely bossed that midfield and even though I think we could have gotten a draw, it's fair to say that we didn't deserve it.
Martial looked rusty, Rashford out of place. And you can't really blame them as you can't rely on a teenagers to break down defensive sides like West Brom. To finish on a bright note - great to have Smalling back - he was a beast yesterday

bit late but Mata the dumb cunt. what the hell was he thinking, like i love him but that is honestly enough to get any player sold that is.
Also LVG tactically wasn't great to be honest, i think we didn't start all that badly but after Mata was off we capitulated.
Still, given what stage of the season we are and what was at stake we can't lose games like this, we needed that win, now we're in 6th and even if City mess this up i doubt West Ham is going to make it easy for us to leap frog them and take that top 4 spot and as a result LVG should be fired for not making the champions league, simple as that

Same old Van Gaal: genius when games are more tactical as shown against the top-teams. Useless when the game turns into a battle, as shown against so many lower sides.
I've been saying it all along: LVG has failed to balance the side properly last summer. We lack some leaders and some character in the team, some "bad" guys perhaps to lead the younger player and kick asses when it needs to be done.
Granted we had to make do with the injuries, and that hasn't helped us this season, and in all fairness we have coped well. But you can't blame a poor season on injuries, because we suffer more injuries than the other clubs, and that is becoming a trend as only Arsenal can rival us on that front: either we have an average medical staff or we like to buy injury prone players because our scouts are shit at checking injury records? I am sorry but I would say the latter.
LVG can still get something out of this season because he is excellent in those big games. But I want him out at the end of it, regardless of what he wins or doesn't win. I want a manager in who will turn us into a strong team again, with character, with leaders and that relentness spirit we have completely lost. LVG is an amazing tactician, but a poor manager.
