Off me all sorts of 1D shit including the new album.. Off my mother, the latest Iphone is her main present(which will mean she has a better phone than me) amongst another couple hundred worth of presents, can't remember me getting this much but I'm not bitter at all...... Gotta buy for my Nieces as well, prefer buying for kids they're always overjoyed at Xmas time no matter what you get them, buying for adults I just find a ball breaker. Which is pretty much the reason I spend more on the 3 kids than anyone else... nope not bitter at all! Sounds like you're going the extra mile... It'll be interesting to see if you get that phone call from your dad telling you to come over and pick up your own present. I remember that quite vividly for some reason. Sounds like something my father would say to me I'd imagine.

If he does it this year, he'll be waiting a hell of a long time for me to go and collect it.

This is the first year I've had to give a shit about Christmas - I usually just give my sister a couple hundred quid and say everything's from us both. Can't really do that now I've moved out. The youngest person in my entire family is 19 so I can't just buy any old kids shite either. I would say I have a good 20 relatives that are under 19 all first blood relatives as well none long distant or anything. In fairness my sister and her fella are easy enough to buy for, they're satisfied with anything from the entertainment section, blu-ray boxset or even ps3/ps4 games.. My mum is a pain but I tend to just give her some money to buy what she wants, my dad is just a bottle of decent whiskey every year as again he's just awkward to buy for and my Nan is the worst to buy for as when you ask her what she wants she always says nothing and refuses to even converse with you about potential gifts... Don't have to worry about my other Nan as she's a Jehovah's Witness....Score!

It should be a rule - if you say you want nothing, you get nothing.

The local council who boarded up the open tarmac space in front of my house to become a temporary machinery and materials storage/building site for the entire summer and ruined the place while they resurfaced a local thoroughhfare. Then after complaints they came back and re-tarmacced the space , but only inside the boarding where they had used. Now we have a resurfaced patch surrounded by the old version and it looks even worse. Lazy, cheap-skate bastards wouldn't resurface the whole thing.
