It has to be a wind-up surely? He can read english, but can't write in english....nah! Use any translation to get a general feel for what's being said and paste it's output when appropriate. Kids use it all the time on the tech forums. Classic translate speak here: Me : How old are you, Ali? Ali : please is something falling apart
When he thinks he's done something wrong. Just looks exactly like what the kids post sometimes looking for answers. They tell you up front they don't speak any English and are using google translate and you either reply back in simple English and they run the answer back through translate - or you post a screenshot of what you mean, which usually is more efficient for everyone. |

I'm getting a sense of Déjà vu. A random person from a random country acting strangely, with a 'poor' grasp of English, being overly familiar with members. It happened on Talking Reds, it happened on the Network, and now it's happening again. We all know about the shit that went on in TR, and I'm fairly certain that one person was controlling multiple accounts on the Network as well. I get the feeling somebody has got bored again and is fucking about.

If it wasn't completely unethical I would have posted his details here for you to be sure, but I'm telling you - his IP checks out, you can find him of FB, etc. Even if it was a troll he would have to have gone through years to create a fake account.
I actually advised him to use google translate if he needs any help with English

It will have to be the way this goes. I don't actually think he's a troll but he's annoying the fuck out of me no matter what. He's been a member of the forum for a few months now and he's not improved 1 iota.

I don't think it will improve either if the language is a local dialect like Hausa : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hausa_language Hausa to broken pigeon French to broken English. You'll be fucked using an online translator to get coherent English if that's what is happening. |
