Ah right, I see what you're saying but equally if they start next season poorly they're going to have the same pressure. All the positives and negatives are neither here nor there at this point of the season for me now tbh. As I said I personally think it makes more sense to get them in sooner but equally I accept it's unlikely and understand all the reasons against it (to an extent). But if things nosedive again like they did in December on the back of Yesterday's result the board's hand will be forced and it will get to a stage where it makes absolutely zero sense keeping LVG in the job if we're already planning to replace him in the summer.
Losing interest now anyway. Just give us a trophy to celebrate or to be honest just a final to look forward to and look on to next season. I know top 4 isn't out of the question yet, especially with City losing again but I just don't see it happening now, we can't sustain a good enough run of form for long enough.

I'm starting to resign myself to the fate that is Mourinho. First comes denial, but by the end - I should accept it.
I'm really disappointed that LVG failed to take us further.

And every time we win, especially the last couple games, I start thinking this would be the turning point and we'll kick on from there, only to be terribly disappointed when we come up with the same performance we've been trying to avoid all season. |

Me three. I'd take Pochettino in a heart beat over all of them but does he even need the added hassle and bullshit that comes with the job, don't think he does.

If this is the case I hope we don't drag it out. We're going absolutely nowhere. No need to make life any worse for LVG and have him stay the rest of the season listening to rumours about Mourinho taking his job.

He'll stay till the end. Pointless Mourinho stepping in right away because 1) why get your hands dirty at this stage 2) that means sacking VG mid contract and he would prefer to resign with some dignity, board will grant him that, unless something stellar happens. Giggs will leave now Mourinho is coming and he won't care-take in the interim, no reason for him to. So best to just let things ride out.

So you think he'll stay even if we fail to turn it around against Midtjylland? I'd be gobsmacked if he stays much longer if that happens. I think their hand will be forced. In fact LVG may even resign himself.
