I just think it's too big a risk for any potential upcoming manager, Monk may have not had any experience when he steered them clear but at least he knew the club inside out and they knew him. There's going to be expectations in January as well in terms of recruitment and if that doesn't go to plan then it could be a dominoe effect.
We've seen many sides that have a good team on paper or play good football fall into the abyss.

As good as what Swansea have looked the last few seasons? Not for me. If they're a good side on paper Giggs, if he's going to be a good manager should be able to get them playing and stay up in my opinion.

With time and a clean run at things he probably could, who knows. But as it stands he's got no experience of anything to do with relegation or what's required to keep a failing team up, it's not like he's a specialist at plugging holes like Big Sam.
He just needs a clean start with any mid-table BPL outfit and get a good clean run at things to give himself a chance.

If he gets offered the job he should take it, it would be a great fit and he's welsh haha
welsh manager for a welsh club, would be something, hell if he does post match pressers in welsh it would be a bonus

If he can have that job, he should definitely sign for it! I don't want Giggs anywhere near the Old Trafford seat until I've seen him manage a club for a few years.

Apparently Valencia wanted him first but he believes he is going to succeed Van Gaal here
i'm sorry but legend or not, we'd be stupid to let him manage the club without any prior experience, we're not Barca with some sort of superior squad, we need an elite manager

Ryan Giggs body language says he his not at all happy to be understudy to LVG and what is happening on the field. If LVG goes is likely soon then Ryan will not automatically be bumped up to Boss. That would be too risky for United's Board. So second fiddle again to ..........
I also find it hard to believe that Swansea find themselves in the relegation zone.
I think if he is offered the job he should take it. He has always showed a great fighting spirit and a never say die approach. Taking the job will give him far more experience and exposure than ever he will get under LVG.
I back him to make a first class job of Swansea's fight to remain in the Premier League.

He definitely should, i'd imagine with his experience under Fergie, Moyes, LVG etc i think he'll be able to be a great success for them if they hire him (they should, manchester united assistant, i mean if they can't land Bielsa it would be a great choice to get a young up and comer)

Edwood always mentioned the Fergie to support Giggs possibility ................ found this: www.skysports.com/watch/tv-shows/sunday-supplement/news/10134212/watch-could-sir-alex-ferguson-help-ryan-giggs-at-manchester-unitedLast Updated: 17/01/16 1:32pm Could Sir Alex Ferguson return to Old Trafford to help Ryan Giggs at Manchester United? That's the view of The People's Steve Bates, who told the Sunday Supplement that Ferguson is ready to be a mentor for Giggs should he take over from Louis van Gaal at United. Bates revealed Ferguson, who retired as Manchester United boss in 2013, is waiting in the wings to take a hands-on role behind the scenes to aid Giggs if he becomes the next Manchester United boss - but he will not return to the dugout. ........
Sir Alex is there all the time these days. He's often in the director's box. There's no way he's going back to the dugout but my understanding is if Ryan Giggs is given the reigns, maybe until the end of the season, then Sir Alex would be there for him.Plus why we should absolutely pull the stops out to get Guardiola, speculation on Woodwards indecision etc.

It goes a full circle now, from PFA Young player of the year to the Merit award - can't get much better than that.
