But when you think about it, I still wonder how we managed to struggle to find the back of the net at times, having Falcao, Van Persie, and Rooney in the same club lol. It's obvious, isn't it? We didn't create any triangle or parallelogram until recently. But if we continue in the same path upwards, it'll be pentagons all over the place soon enough and then, world, beware!

Indeed. But I think LVG will want to spend 40M elsewhere. With Welbeck gone, RVP ageing, and Falcao failing to find his best form, we're bound to move for a forward this summer, aren't we? But when you think about it, I still wonder how we managed to struggle to find the back of the net at times, having Falcao, Van Persie, and Rooney in the same club lol. On paper it looks absolutely incredible. I also think he'll be gone come the beginning of next season, however we can't rule out him staying just yet. As for the quality we have upfront, it is very surprising that our strikers haven't scored as many as we'd all imagined at the start of the season. I know their service hasn't been great(far from it), however you've named 3 fantastic strikers, you'd think they would be scoring more goals than they have - even if as I said the service hasn't been great.

the service hasn't been great. Sure, you're right, there is no denying that. But somehow there are many games where both Falcao and RVP failed to be clinical and convert the chances they had. It goes both way imo: poor service, but poor form as well. It's true that since Rooney has been played upfront, we have played better as a team, so it can have been "easier" for Rooney to play that position than it was for RVP or Falcao. But Rooney has taken some of his goals brilliantly, he has added movement, pace and strength to make the team play better and consequently benefit from better service. I think Falcao and RVP have both failed to bring in the quality we expected of them.

The service hasn't been great, however their world class strikers and they should be doing better. I'm not trying to make excuses for them - far from it - because I've been very disappointed.

There were also moments when our center halves couldn't execute a 3 meter pass to save their life. There were a moments when they did pass, the ball has gone into opponents legs. There were moments when Fellaini has made a 10 fouls in one minute. There were moments when Falcao was running his bollocks off in the final third but the passer has chosen the other option. There were moments when we were making the circles around the opposition box without the attempt of a through ball to the striker or the shot at goal. There were moments when our side players were sending an aimless crosses into the box (or over it), hoping that the strikers will be at the end of it, acting all Superman. Etc.
It's not all down to one or two men, far from it!

Just wondering, there's a high possibility Falcao will not be in LVG's plans next season and there's a high possibility he will not be signing for us permanently .
Should LVG play him again this season in our remaining matches? Being a professional, he will 'try' to give his best but his best might not be enough. A part of him has died...just given up. In short, he will not be playing for the team but for himself, individually as he's still finding potential suitors next season. Wouldn't that be detrimental to the team?

Unless there is an injury to Rooney I dont want Falcao to start any games, this system is working so well and dont want change that, I feel even if there is one change this system will not work as it was against Spurs and Liverpool games. Let Falcao be an 'impact' sub, a win-win situation. He can attract clubs for summer transfer without doing much damage to the current system.

I'd like to see Falcao given more chances, but unfortunately we're still in a pretty tight race for the top 4 so I'm guessing he won't take any unnecessary chances
