I think it's a good move, all season we've been thinking if De Gea gets injured we're fucked. Now we won't be as fucked if something happened to him. Still, I hope I never have to see Valdes play besides the occasional cup game, I mean that in the nicest possible way.

I don't think we needed another keeper, unless Van Gaal is planning to get rid of Lindegaard, but I'm glad we got Valdes. Like the Scooby guy said - best set in the world,I'd take them over Cech and Courtois any day.
Seems like the U19 captain Pereira is doing well, so we might just sell Lindegaard and Amos and put him as 3rd choice

yet del bosque doesn't play De Gea this man needs the sack, he really does. Why would you not play one of the top keepers in the world over the severely out of form casillas for one, then whinge about us not playing valdes over said top keeper. Does De Gea have a second nationality, maybe England should claim him for themselves  |

I find it absolutely incredible that De Gea isn't the certified first choice keeper for Spain, what more does he have to do at club level to make his case?!
Casillas has recieved a lot of criticism over the past couple of seasons, and contras tingly, De Gea has been named player of the season for one of the biggest clubs in the world, and it wouldn't be a complete shock if he got the same again this year - even the ever biased pundits recognise his importance these days.
