Hi my name is Andrew, been a Utd fan as long as I can remember I'm 51 now, so remember the early 70's era just about when we got relegated and bounced back up with Stuart Pearson, Gordon Hill, Steve Coppell and co, need some solace from the current plight the team are in, capped by last nights woeful display, look forward to joining in on the forum.

I think I might have been unlucky that the only era I know is the SAF one so I can't relate to other ups and downs

Welcome Andrew. Don't worry you'll get un-quarantined when Jie gets back.
I remember the 70's and growing up on the terraces. Still got Martin Buchan's autograph in the loft. Good times, long gone unfortunately.
Still, the SAF era brought about an immense amount of pleasure, just a case of finding the right someone to take that mantle on for longer than 1- 3 years.
