FDJ will not tolerate not having UCL and will have clauses written into any contract if he comes , it'll literally be a one shot deal based on an understanding with ETH, the only reason he comes is because of ETH - and bugger all to do with 'the word' of the club to strengthen the squad
Less so Rabiot but he's got previous form for acting up if things don't go his way. So it really is down to the ownership to build something with the manager

One worrying factor is that if things drag on until the end of August, with the current lot we could already be way adrift.

Well let's have it right, at this point, they've effectively written this season off and condemned ETH to fighting single handed to get into a 4th spot position with a mismatched sack of shit
AND the frightening part is Arnold said in that 'pub chat' that this was the good year, as opposed to next year, when the recession will hit and they won't spend anything at all.
