Good to see Lingard back in the mix, hope he gets a few minutes in the second half.

We got totally bullied throughout the whole game and I'm pleasantly surprised we didn't get anyone injured (except McNair's head) and think that was partially why we did not create much in the final third. The substitutes were probably the strangest I've seen all season, but the important thing is we're moving forward and also we have Di Maria back

Rafa and Shaw picked up injuries according to LVG. Hopefully nothing serious.
A win is a win, we go through, happy days.

The only positive (other than the win obviously) was reverting to a back 4 (even if it was forced) and actually playing with a midfield. As soon as Di Maria came on for Falcao we had a lot more control of the ball. This is why I don't like playing with Rooney, RVP and Falcao because in this system we have Carrick sitting deep and Rooney running back to try and cover the CM position. Wouldn't it be better to have 2 players sitting there in Herrera and Di Maria dictating play instead of everybody running around getting no where? Not holding my breathe for the next game though because VG has a habit of smoking crack before making his team selection.

Toothless again, 1 shot on target for the first half....and had to wait until Yeovil got tired in the 2nd to score from a snapshot and later a great pass from Rooney to ADM once the Yeovil lads were beaten.......no celebrations needed to be honest lads...there's a lot of work needed still

Heard a pundit describe it as a professional away performance. Not sure I agree to be honest. Thought we were pretty woeful for much of the match. Fair enough, they were full of energy and fight but they're bottom of league 1 for crying out loud, professional is a word you use to describe a 1-0 win in the away leg of the champions league, not playing league 1 minnows with a very strong side and for much of the match looking like you can't find a way past them.

That's what Van Gaal said: “Rafael Da Silva has a injury and a fracture of his bone so it was fantastic he had the guts to play through,” reported Van Gaal.
“Rafael played through because over the last few weeks he has not played so much. But he has a fantastic attitude. He is unbelievable.
“I had to change him and also Luke Shaw because he had an ankle problem. He played on also. Rafael has already gone away in a car to the hospital. I don’t know how he did it. I cannot say I will have to watch the video. Also the same with Shaw. But it was a very physical game.”
Sounds to me like both Rafa and Shaw had injuries before the game, so he probably didn't want to push them too hard hence the substitution. Like Dave said, hopefully it's nothing serious and they'll be available for Southampton, otherwise we're in for some drama

Think people are making too much of a couple of our recent performances, the first half against Tottenham we were fantastic, just couldn't finish off any chances, faded in the second due to fatigue, disappointed vs Stoke and struggled to break down a stubborn Yeovil but eventually got the job done comfortably. Still on a long unbeaten streak.
