Adnan Januzaj came off the Borussia Dortmund bench with half-an-hour left and helped them win 4-2 at Hannover to continue their 100 per cent start in the Bundesliga. Januzaj had a couple of chances and even showed a bit of trickery to the delight of the 10,000 travelling Dortmund fans.
Tyler Blackett made his debut for Celtic, playing at left-back in their 2-1 loss to Aberdeen but didn't perform to his full capability. Celtic head to Amsterdam next for a Europa League game against Ajax on Thursday night.
Will Keane struggled to impose himself as Preston North End were beaten 2-1 by Derby County in the Championship, while Ben Pearson played the full 90 as Barnsley defeated Swindon Town 4-1.
Manchester Born and Bred - Proud to be a Mancunian Red
Will Keane made his debut for Hull - from what I read Hull's fans were not impressed:
When a striker aged 23, he's not a kid, has a record of 4 goals from 49 games in the Championship at best - then no, he's not good enough. His record tells you that. He may have been at Man Utd but he hasn't achieved anything anywhere for someone supposed to be a striker. We'd have been better offering a place on the bench to our youth players.
I'd rather have taken a punt on someone who offers a goal threat and a strike ratio better than a goal every decade.
Cameron Borthwick-Jackson played full 90 for Wolves and was named MOTM, but apparently a poor clearance lead to Burton's equalizer.
Saw the highlights of Wolves, didn't notice a poor clearance but the goal came from his side though not much he could have done about it. MOTM bodes well for him.
Wilson lost his man at a corner for Newcastle's first goal but he did alright after that with very little service, good driving runs and decision making when he did get the ball. Played around 60 minutes.
Pereira also put in a decent performance for Granada, although they lost to a 10 men Eibar, he played on the left side and had some decent moments. Granada aren't a great side in truth but I suppose if he gets the games he'll benefit.
Heard Varela's been doing well with Frankfurt but recently picked up an injury which hopefully isn't serious.
Played well today, their most creative player again just his final ball a little off at times. Worked hard as well, frustration kicked on towards the end with cunt Mike Dean booking for him dissent after he was fouled and given nothing, then multiple hacks by Spurs players lead to him getting his own back on Davies with a foul. Another incompetent referee doing one ours again today.
Pereira got an assist in a 3-1 defeat to Alaves tonight, a delicious cross and had a lively game overall. He's been on set piece duty for them and looks like one of their brighter players so should continue to get the games.
CBJ seems to be a regular figure for Wolves at LB, didn't have a great game at the weekend I heard but again it's a learning process. Januzaj seems to be a regular for Moyes and Wilson was starting for Derby before his injury.
Finally it looks like our lads will be getting worthwhile loans this season
