Any tips flying round your end? I really enjoy watching the Breeders cup every year but it's always really tough to compare the form of the European horses to the U.S horses...
Besides the odd ones from the U.S who come over for Royal Ascot or run in the Dubai World Cup I know next to nothing about the rest. I tend to just have a punt on any European horses I think may be in with a chance of winning. Which brings me to a French horse called Flintshire in the 1 1/2 mile Breeders cup turf race, I'd be surprised if it's not in the first 3 (which obviously means it will finish a tailed off last).
Other than that I've had a punt on an American horse called Stephanie's Kitten in the fillies & mares turf, with no justifiable reason other than I recognise the colours and I know Velazquez is a top jockey.

Telescope is an interesting horse, always been tipped for the very top but never quite hit that very top level despite a few admirable performances in defeat. It's certainly a contender if he runs his best race though but I expect he'll just miss out yet again (which means he'll bog it by 10lengths). I've had a 50p yankee on these 4 selections..

From my experiences it's even harder to make money in top class racing like the breeders cup or Royal Ascot. It's just hard to pick a winner when every horse in the race is at a similar level.
Handicap races are always the best to make money on because it gives you the chance to find a horse who is well handicapped and therefore carrying less weight than it could and you often find them at good prices as well.
Still though, you require luck to be on your side.

No I was going to have a few quid on Rory but didn't bother at the lowly price he was at. I'll be taking an interest though, notice Spieth leading after the first round, Scott hit something like +5 and Rory at -2, there's a lot of Aussie guys from the European tour there as well, be interested to see how they get on. Richard Green is someone I've backed a few times in the past and has started with a -2, he'll probably fucking win this week seems I've not backed him.
