Not to mention, its frustrating that Jose still doesn't believe in youth, it seems like he's sent out all of the academy prospects aside from Rashford, what does this man have against youth. I'm sorry, if your going to be a united manager you better be good at blooding the youth into the system. At least they were loaned. This will give the young players first team football. They should return as more mature.

That's fair enough, agree it should be enough to challenge for the league and at the very least cement top four. I think we are a fair bit off the CL as are all English clubs and it will probably take another 2 or 3 windows to get close.
Aye, he talks the talk, bigs them up and either ships them on out on loan or doesn't give them a meaningful opportunity.
Pereira has always done realitively well when called upon be it in his matches or pre season in the past, then gone out on loan and again has done well and got the experience. He is very talented but what we don't know is whether he can cut it in the English game, if he had to go out on loan then it should have been to a PL club as at least he can be used to the league. When he comes back next season he's back to square one, possibly Carrick will have retired so there might be an opening but Mourinho will undoubtedly be looking to invest so his future doesn't look good.
I know there is fair bit of competition but Mourinho has to create the opportunities and give them a chance to impress, if one of our current attackers is injured then we're down to adding either Carrick or another defender to the bench I'd much rather a creative player fill that. Remember last season he was moaning about fixture pile ups, fatigue etc. and fans too commented on players looking tired as well yet he makes the squad even smaller... Hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

I think this was set up with us in mind somehow. My bet is that we wanted him, Atleti must have told us look, wait till January since we can't sign players and you can have him for 100 mill then (its pretty obvious that he would have been our marquee signing, not Lukaku, otherwise). PSG won't get him, its basically impossible that they'll be able to lure him or even pay his wages without FFP leading to a transfer ban. Issue is, if he were to come in, does he play at LW, behind the striker as a CAM or as a second striker up front with Lukaku. I prefer the latter in all honesty (would be our best striking partnership since Rooney and RVP, probably a better version of that in truth as they'd be going into their primes), which indicates a 4-4-2 again or a 3-5-2 (which leads me to question, who the bloody hell is playing at RM,LM and in the midfield positions). De Gea Bailly-Lindelof-Rojo Matic Mhkitariyan-Pogba-Herrera-Martial Lukaku-Griezmann Now their are two glaring holes for me their, both wingers can't, and you really want to track back. Matic is great defensively and Herrera is a workhorse but it would be a lot to ask of him i would think for him to cover a back 3. Also: Star talking shit i think.

Evra has been released by Marseille for pulling a Cantona.
Well given our history its pretty clear what his next career move should be.

As Manchester United Fan it is hard to read about transfers like Malcom, Perisic, Joa Mario and so on. They all cost a lot of Money and didnt make us better. Our Team has a good quality, but no world class. And there a not many players on the market with this class. I would prefer big moves in the offense like Dybala or Dele Alli. Because we need more creativity. They are high talented near to world Class and still at „small Clubs“. Also Draxler should be an alternativ for 45mio with his age and skill. As left back i would prefer tierney, but also sessegnon would be nice. Also a right back is needed and there it is hard to find one on the market. But i think Meunier could be our choice. In contrast I See no place in our Team for mkhitaryan, darmian, fellaini and Shaw.

And one i forgot in my post is Goretzka. We should try to get him, if possible for free next summer.

Welcome Stephan Completely agree, those type of players would just give us another option which isn’t necessarily bad but won’t help us close the gap on the big clubs and get where we need to be. I like some of your suggestions as well. Goretzka seems Bayern bound unfortunately.

I know, that it seems that Bayern has a Hand on Goretzka, but nevertheless we should try to get him.

www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2017/Dec/manchester-united-transfer-plans-for-2018-discussed-by-jose-mourinho.aspxMourinho’s transfer plans. - Activity in January is unlikely
- Wants 2 or 3 players in the summer, I’m guessing these will be of high quality so big money but less numbers.
- Seems keen to invest in midfield with a Carrick replacement but maybe another addition as well.
- Said the board has backed him but last summer was more replacing players Lukaku for Zlatan, Lindelof for Rojo etc. Rather than improving upon the team.
- The rest is basically talking about money invested by other clubs, inflated prices etc.
He likes to say ‘The reality is..’ a lot doesn’t he. “My club, two years ago, paid a lot of money for Paul [Pogba]. Last year, they paid a lot of money for Lukaku and I'm sure, next year, they are also going to pay a lot of money for one player. But we are doing these things with some balance because it's the profile of the club. We do it with some balance." Griezmann? Thoughts? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what he says there really most of it is fair. I don’t believe the squad needs a huge overhaul like many others and a couple of high quality additions to improve the first team will go a long way.

in a dream world:
2 big names for ST and CM Griezmann for Zlatan Verratti for CM
plus 2 for the future Dendoncker for Carrick Malcom for the wing
obviously I mean for the summer transfer window.
