Journo's all been briefed with this. It's looks like Griezmann will stay put due to the CAS verdict/Atletico's ban but we'll see.

OR we could just activate his buyout clause? I mean sure it was always smart to wait and see if we could negotiate but if Atleti are adamant on not wanting to sell him, lets just activate it. he wants out, we want him, he wants to come to us. I think we have to go for it.
If Zlatan goes, that would be a shame, I do like the sound of either Lukaku or Belotti though as replacements, just that keeping Zlatan means not paying 70 million + on transfer fees which could go elsewhere (a winger, left back etc).

www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/01/man-utd-call-antoine-griezmann-transfer-focus-targets/amp/None of it makes any sense, Zlatans future has been up in the air for months and he's been injured for months. The CAS verdict has changed something and we'll just have to see what plays out. Hopefully it's just a case of us posturing and we will activate his clause when we've concluded other deals it's either that or we're saving face as he isn't coming. Only other thing is that Atleti's ban means Costa stays thus United think they have a free run at the Lukaku, if we've snubbed Griezzy for a lump like Lukaku.... ugh

i'd rather we sort it out now and activate the clause now.
It does probably help us in our pursuit for Lukaku also. No move for Costa since PSG want Aubameyang and the chinese changed their rules on transfers.
Also it clears out the way for Lacazette if we want. Atletico's deal with him is dead now. I mean he'd be a pretty good direct type of player to have on the wing or to play next to a #9.
Also on that left wing, why not consider Sanchez. I mean he won't be as cheap as RVP was, but its the type of deal that we could pull off.

I'd go for Morata....if they really want DDG that badly it gives us leverage.

Bale was on the bench. Rumours are going to intensify for sure.
As for Morata. Eh he's alright i guess. I mean he isn't a bad striking option to have and was very good for Juve.
Also i'm positive now that Rodriguez wants to come to us more than we want him. He should have thought about that when he rejected us to go to Madrid knowing the risks.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40148890Griezmann confirms Atleti stay after transfer ban was upheld. Disappointing but understandable given the situation, if that was us we wouldn't want our best player to leave us in the lurch. Possibly will be revisited next summer as United left the door open. Graham Hunter seems to think that could happen: "Fans would tear the old and new [stadiums] down if Griezmann had wanted Manchester United to pay his buyout clause or if he had said I'm not playing. He's not like that, he's staying and that's that. "But in a year's time I expect him to end up Manchester United. "He had it in his mind, and this is important, that he thought the moment was right to show his talents elsewhere."

hopefully true. Time to start seeing the donkey's and deadwood leave (as good as Fellaini was this year, i think its also down to the system we played).

Also ffs, fifa managed to not only screw them up, they managed to screw us in the process.
Anyway Mou apparently willing to seel De Gea for 25 mill + Morata.
I mean Morata is alright is a good striker but is that it. Would have been pushing for Bale. Either way Morata is young (only 24 still) and aside from his goals (amazingly 15 in La Liga despite only playing 26 games, i can't imagine many of those were starts (i mean if its around 50 minutes per game i doubt he started a lot). and is basically good for a goal per 90, its a good conversion rate.
He does work hard and is good in the air and with is feet, i can see why Mourinho likes him but is he better than Lukaku.
I'd say if we did want players from Real Madrid, we should ask for both Varane and Morata. Then immediately go out and get Donnaruma (since he's actually for sale and Atleti will be screwed if we buy Oblak).

Morata is a really interesting proposition. With rashford and martial up there I spose it's down to what kind of balance you want, who compliments who, but we need more goals whatever.
Varane is going nowhere but Kroos and Morata, mmm.

No chance of Kroos either.
Lots of Morata links lately, good player and I like his game but he's never been a prolific goalscorer which is a slight concern, if he's signing then I'd try and hold onto to Zlatan for another season. Hopefully it doesn't involve Dave going the other way as well.

Kroos would be actually perfect. not a DM by any means but a deep lying playmaker like him who can control the tempo, yes please.
Sanches is also being linked to us (along with Douglas Costa) for 60 million

a hell lot of names already...
In general I'd say we should either sign absolute world-class player as long as they become available. Otherwise we should go for young player under 25 with huge potential that might be here for a long time or have re-sell value.
World class for me means names like Griezmann, Bale, Kroos.
A lot of names leave me stunned, like Perisic. What the fuck should we do with such an mediocre player and why is he valued 50m? Because of one good season in a weak league like serie A?
I can only hope we will be sensible in the market

What about our interest in Hirving Lozano? Cooled with the arrival of Mou? Had a great season again in Mexico!
